1. What does the ฿11,500 base price cover?
The base price covers 2 adults with a private van, local pickup-truck transfer, all elephant home activities, lunch, and admission fees. Additional adults are 3,000 THB each and children under 10 are 2,200 THB each.
2. What happens during the elephant program?
You will get a brief introduction, feed the elephants, hike with them for about 30 minutes, then join a mud spa and help bathe them in the river before lunch.
3. Can we swim at the waterfall?
No, swimming is not permitted at the waterfall on this activity.
4. What if the Kew Mae Pan trail is closed?
Kew Mae Pan usually operates from 1 November to 30 March, but can close without notice. If it is closed, we will hike at Pha Dok Siew instead.
5. How physically demanding is this day?
This is a long day that requires more energy than a typical city activity, combining a morning of elephant activities with an afternoon hike at Doi Inthanon. Please come well rested.
What to bring/wear ?
- Sandals are recommended, especially for the elephant visit
- Hiking or tennis shoes are good for the national park; sandals or flip-flops in rainy season, just in case
- Spare underwear to change after the elephant activity, or a swimsuit for the mud and bath activity
- A towel
- Shorts or a skirt that covers the knees, to visit the two pagodas
- Any kind of shirt/T-shirt (not sleeveless)
- A rain jacket, in case of rain
- Bug spray, sun cream, and a hat
Special Notes
- This is a long, full day that requires more energy than a typical city activity, and swimming is not permitted at the waterfall.
- One set of Khantok-style lunch service is shared, and the elephant hike takes about 30 minutes each way.
- The Kew Mae Pan trail normally operates 1 November – 30 March and may close without notice; if closed, the activity hikes at Pha Dok Siew instead.
- Shorts or a skirt covering the knees is required to enter the two pagodas. This activity’s duration is approximate and depends on trail and weather conditions.
