Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings made with Chiang Mai Popular Tour, including tour packages, private tours, day tours, activities, attraction tickets, transportation, and other travel services offered through our website, direct communication, or authorized sales channels.
By making a booking or payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you make a booking on behalf of other participants, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms and Conditions on their behalf.
1. Booking and Confirmation
Bookings may be made through our website, email, WhatsApp, or other approved communication channels.
A booking is considered confirmed only after Chiang Mai Popular Tour has received the required deposit or full payment and issued a written booking confirmation.
Please review your confirmation carefully and notify us promptly of any incorrect or incomplete information. Names must match passports or identification documents where these are required for the booked service.
The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for providing accurate and complete information.
2. Booking on Behalf of Others
When making a booking for other participants, you will be considered the primary contact person for the booking.
You are responsible for providing accurate information for all participants, communicating these Terms and Conditions and relevant booking information to them, making required payments, and informing Chiang Mai Popular Tour of any requested changes or cancellations.
We are not responsible for problems resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the person making the booking.
3. Prices
Unless otherwise stated, prices are quoted in Thai Baht (THB).
The final price and services included in your booking will be shown on the relevant tour or activity page, quotation, invoice, or booking confirmation.
Prices may vary according to travel dates, seasonality, number of participants, accommodation, transportation, entrance fees, fuel costs, government fees, exchange rates, supplier rates, or other operational costs.
Chiang Mai Popular Tour reserves the right to change prices before a booking is confirmed. Once a booking has been confirmed, the agreed price will normally remain unchanged unless the customer requests changes or circumstances outside our control result in additional costs.
4. Payment
Payment requirements, including deposit amounts, payment schedules, and final payment deadlines, will be stated in your quotation, invoice, booking page, or confirmation.
A booking may require either a deposit or full payment depending on the service.
Any bank charges, international transfer fees, currency conversion fees, credit card charges, or fees imposed by a bank or payment provider are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.
Failure to make payment by the specified deadline may result in cancellation of the booking.
5. Attraction Tickets and E-Vouchers
For attractions, shows, activities, or other services requiring a ticket or voucher, an electronic voucher or booking confirmation will be provided after payment and confirmation of availability.
Customers must check the date, time, participant details, and other information on the voucher upon receipt.
Where required, customers must present the voucher together with valid identification at the attraction or meeting point.
Tickets and vouchers may be subject to conditions imposed by the attraction or service provider, including validity periods, age or height restrictions, nationality requirements, operating hours, and cancellation or amendment restrictions.
Some tickets may be non-refundable and non-changeable once confirmed. Any specific conditions will be communicated before or at the time of confirmation.
Unused or expired tickets and vouchers are not refundable unless otherwise stated.
6. Changes to Bookings
Requests to change travel dates, participant names, number of participants, accommodation, pickup locations, activities, or other booking details should be made as early as possible.
Chiang Mai Popular Tour will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested changes, but changes are subject to availability and the policies of hotels, attractions, transportation providers, and other suppliers.
Additional charges may apply.
Certain tickets, promotional rates, accommodation bookings, transportation tickets, or prepaid services may not permit changes once confirmed.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation conditions may vary depending on the tour, activity, ticket, accommodation, or other service booked. Where a specific cancellation policy is stated in the quotation, product page, invoice, or booking confirmation, that specific policy will take precedence.
Unless otherwise stated, the following general cancellation policy applies to tour bookings:
- 45 days or more before the tour start date:
A 50% cancellation fee of the total booking value will apply. - 30–44 days before the tour start date:
A 70% cancellation fee of the total booking value will apply. - Less than 30 days before the tour start date:
A 100% cancellation fee will apply and no refund will be provided.
Any refundable balance will be calculated based on the amount already paid by the customer.
In addition, any non-refundable costs already incurred on behalf of the customer may be deducted from the refundable amount. These may include, but are not limited to, hotel reservations, transportation, attraction tickets, permits, flights, train tickets, activity reservations, and deposits or payments made to third-party suppliers that cannot be recovered.
No refund will be provided for unused services, voluntary withdrawal from a tour after it has commenced, or services missed due to the customer’s actions.
Approved refunds will normally be processed within 7–14 business days, although the time required for the funds to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the bank or payment provider.
Some services, including flights, train tickets, attraction tickets, ferry tickets, event tickets, or special promotional rates, may be non-refundable from the time of booking. Any such conditions will be clearly stated in your quotation before payment is made.
8. No-Shows and Late Arrivals
Customers must be ready at the confirmed pickup location or meeting point at the specified time.
Failure to arrive at the designated location within the reasonable waiting time communicated for the service, without prior notice, may be treated as a no-show.
No refund will be provided for no-shows, missed departures, or services missed because of late arrival by the customer.
Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient travel time to reach meeting points, airports, train stations, piers, attractions, or other departure locations.
9. Cancellation or Changes by Chiang Mai Popular Tour
Chiang Mai Popular Tour may modify, reschedule, substitute, or cancel a tour or activity where reasonably necessary due to weather, safety concerns, natural disasters, attraction closures, transportation disruption, government restrictions, road conditions, operational circumstances, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Where possible, we will provide an alternative arrangement, replacement activity, revised itinerary, or new travel date.
If Chiang Mai Popular Tour cancels a service and no suitable alternative can be provided, customers will receive a refund for the portion of the service cancelled by us, subject to any applicable third-party supplier conditions.
Changes to the order of activities, departure times, routes, attractions, or transportation that do not substantially affect the overall service do not normally constitute cancellation.
Safety decisions made by Chiang Mai Popular Tour, our guides, drivers, or relevant service providers must be respected.
10. Tour Itineraries
Tour itineraries, schedules, routes, activities, attractions, transportation, and accommodation may be changed where reasonably necessary due to weather, traffic, local conditions, safety considerations, attraction closures, government regulations, supplier availability, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Chiang Mai Popular Tour will make reasonable efforts to provide the services described in the confirmed itinerary or an appropriate alternative of comparable value where possible.
The order of activities may change without prior notice where this is necessary for operational or safety reasons.
11. Pickup and Transportation
Customers are responsible for providing accurate accommodation, pickup, and contact information.
Pickup times may vary due to traffic, weather, road conditions, the location of other participants, or operational circumstances.
Additional charges may apply for pickup or drop-off outside the designated service area.
Customers must follow safety instructions given by drivers, guides, or transportation providers.
12. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for behaving respectfully and following reasonable instructions provided by Chiang Mai Popular Tour, tour guides, drivers, attraction staff, activity operators, and other authorized personnel.
Customers must not behave in a way that endangers themselves or others, seriously disrupts the tour, damages property, or interferes with the safe operation of the service.
Chiang Mai Popular Tour reserves the right to refuse or terminate service without refund where a participant’s behaviour creates a serious safety risk, materially disrupts the tour, or involves abusive, threatening, violent, or unlawful conduct.
Customers are responsible for any loss or damage caused by their intentional misconduct or negligence, subject to applicable law.
13. Health, Fitness and Special Requirements
Customers are responsible for determining whether they are physically capable of participating in their selected tour or activity.
Please inform Chiang Mai Popular Tour before booking of any mobility requirements, dietary requirements, allergies, or other circumstances relevant to the services requested so that we can determine whether reasonable arrangements can be made.
Certain activities may have specific age, height, fitness, or safety requirements imposed by the operator.
14. Travel Documents
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they possess valid passports, visas, permits, identification, travel documents, and any other documentation required for their journey.
Chiang Mai Popular Tour is not responsible for losses or missed services resulting from a customer’s failure to meet immigration, identification, visa, entry, or documentation requirements.

Such circumstances may include severe weather, floods, fires, natural disasters, epidemics, government actions, civil disturbances, strikes, road closures, transportation disruption, attraction closures, or similar extraordinary events.
Where such circumstances occur, we will make reasonable efforts to assist customers and provide suitable alternatives where possible. Refunds, credits, or rescheduling may depend on the circumstances and the terms of third-party suppliers involved.
18. Limitation of Liability
Chiang Mai Popular Tour will provide confirmed services with reasonable care and skill.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses, delays, cancellations, additional expenses, or changes resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from the independent acts or omissions of third-party suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Thai law.
19. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings during tours, transfers, activities, and other services.
Please check vehicles, hotels, restaurants, boats, attractions, and other locations before leaving.
